 8th Annual Ushers Day:

Theme: “An Eternal Perspective”
On Sunday, 1st February 2009, the Ushers of the Church of God of Prophecy, East Street Tabernacle took time off from their routine as they were relieved from their duties for the day to receive special recognition for their hard work over the past year. As the Bahama Junior Brass Band played, the ushers regaled in their finest, processed into the sanctuary where their invited guests and members alike awaited their arrival.
Speaking on this occasion was Bishop Randall Howard, General Overseer for the Church of God of Prophecy Worldwide. According to our recollection, this would have been the first time that a General Overseer would have ministered in a local church other than during Annual Conventions, which made this occasion historic for the church at East Street.

Receiving special honour for their dedication and commitment to the usher ministry were: Sister Winnifred Williamson and Brothers: Raymond Pratt and Joseph Henfield.
For this historic occasion there was a good cross section in attendance which included ushers from the various churches in New Providence, Dr. Bernard J. Nottage M.P. and Agatha Marcel. There was also a cadre of Ministers: including: General Overseer, Bishop Randall Howard and Sister Howard, Bishop David Bryan, Global Outreach Director, Bishop Maurice Jones and Sister Jones, National Overseer for Trinidad, Bishop Mark Payne and Minister John Weekes of Barbados and other ministers including General Presbyter for the Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean Islands, Bishop Brice H. Thompson and Sister Thompson and National Overseer of the Bahamas, Bishop Elgarnet B. Rahming and Sister Rahming. These ministers had just completed a three day Caribbean Leadership Conference at SuperClubs Breezes, Cable Beach.
